Very slow moving showers and thunderstorms will move into our area overnight and Sunday. The potential for flooding will be heightened in southern and eastern Kentucky.
We’re hearing from Mitch McConnell’s camp after our WKYT-Herald Leader Bluegrass Poll found challenger, Alison Lundergan Grimes with a slight lead of 46 to 42 percent.
"It matches the enthusiasm we see across the Commonwealth,” said Lundergan Grimes.
McConnell’s campaign manager Jesse Benton says, he's not worried.
"Polling is a lot of fun, but it's not worth a whole lot right now,” said Benton. “We're very comfortable and excited with where we're at."
Grimes went on to say of her perceived polling success- "I think voters of Kentucky are well-aware of the work I've done as Secretary of State," she said. "I was elected in 2011, with an overwhelming majority, over 60 percent of the vote, more votes than the Governor got."
