MCCREARY COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A Kentucky family is mourning the loss of a baby after a tragic accident.
Family members say eight-month-old Grant Torkelson died Thursday morning at a North Carolina hospital.
He had been receiving treatment there since Friday after, family members say, he had an accident in the bathtub.
We're told Grant's mother is originally from McCreary County.
"It didn't look good for a while, but there was times where there was hope," said family friend Sue Singleton. "And there is such an outpouring (of love) I think there is 4,000, nearly 5,000, on the Team Grant Facebook."
Family and friends in McCreary County are now raising money for travel costs and funeral expenses.
