BARDSTOWN, Ky. (WKYT) -- Officers of the Bardstown Police Department have a new way to honor one of their own who was killed in the line of duty.

In May, Bardstown officer Jason Ellis was ambushed on the Bluegrass Parkway on his way home from work.

Police have not made an arrest in the case.

Now, Bardstown officers have created a memorial wall at the police department in honor of Officer Ellis.

It includes pictures of him and other items to remember him.

Investigators say they're determined to find those responsible for his death.

"Someone knows something. Hopefully the more we tell the story, someone will step up and speak, and come forward. And that's the way we'll solve this case. I truly believe that," said Captain Tom Roby of the Bardstown Police Department.

There's now a more than $200,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest in this case.
