Men ask for help; rob Marion Co. woman in home

LORETTO, Ky. (WKYT) – It happened near the intersection of Ky. 49 and a community called Holy Cross..

“They were looking for some kind of pills,” said the victim of the thieves, who asked that WKYT not identify her.

The woman said two men knocked on her door early Monday morning and asked for her help. But when she let them in, she said they attacked her.

She says she didn't have what they were looking for so they ransacked her house...and even injured her cat.

“He's still alive right now..he is suffering,” she said.

Police say they are looking for two men wearing dark clothing, one of them wearing what is described as a ‘detective's hat.’

Neighbors say they heard the car quickly speed away. The only description police have is an older model white car. The victim says they got away with her purse, cell phone, and her son's video game systems. But what she is most upset about is what they did to her kitten.

“My kitten, I loved that kitten. I love him. That is what hurts the most,” she said.

The victim says she was hit in the head with the butt of the gun, but is expected to be ok. Her son..who was sleeping nearby wasn't hurt.
