Lighting for Grand Hanukkah Menorah in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Hanukkah celebrations continued across the world, and also in central Kentucky Tuesday night.

UK President Eli Capilouto lit the Grand Hanukkah Menorah at Joseph Beth Booksellers at Lexington Green.

People at the event were served traditional potato pancakes, hot chocolate, and chocolate Hanukkah coins. Children also received dreidels.

People who organized Tuesday night's event say they wanted to promote Jewish awareness and identity.
