Christmas is out of the way and we are off and running toward 2014. Leading up to our brand new year we can expect a nice shot of some milder air. For our Friday and Saturday you can expect highs in the 40s. Saturday has a solid chance of reaching the 50 degree mark in many areas.
A cold front will sweep in on Sunday. The timing of that front and a disturbance moving in from the south will mean a whole lot. At this moment the two don't really get together. That means we see some rain for Sunday because of the mild temps. For Monday, we begin a daily chance of snow shower activity.
The Sunday front will also bring significantly colder air into the region. Our daytime highs will only range in the low and mid 20s with lows lurking in the teens on many occasions.
That's how we start 2014. Hopefully, it isn't a sign of things to come... or is it? More on that in the coming days!
Have a Great Thursday!
