Our winter storm is shattering records. 17.1" of snow fell in Lexington and that's the most ever recorded during a two day snowstorm. We've had 32.1" of snow in the last 17 days.
We are almost to our weekend, but we still have to go through a minor bump in the road to get there. A light wintry mix is possible today. Best timing will be during the morning and then during late afternoon/evening. Best location to see this will be north of I-64. This shouldn't cause any major issues, but with the frozen grounds we can expect a few slick spots.
Friday continues to be our best day in the 7-day forecast. Highs will be in the upper 40s to lower 50s with only a small chance at a sprinkle during the morning hours.
This system for Saturday continues to speed up, which means the best timing for rain will be during the morning hours before moving out to make a mostly dry afternoon/evening. Our weather doesn't show any signs of an Arctic blast in the next several days.
