SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A missing Scott County woman has been found safe in Lexington.
26-year-old Chi-Lee Tipton who is a paraplegic and confined to a wheelchair was last seen at her home in the Longview subdivision Sunday night.
Lexington police tell us Tipton was found late Tuesday afternoon near the public library on Versailles Road.
We're told she will be checked out at a hospital as a precaution.
Investigators tell us Tipton told them she left her home willfully.
The Scott County Sheriff's Office searched her neighborhood Tuesday morning. The biggest concern was that she left home without all of her medication.
Sheriff's Deputies say Tipton's parents reported her missing Tuesday morning, but had not seen her since Sunday. Officers say this is not unusual because Tipton holds an opposite schedule to her parents. Investigators say Tipton is usually up all night on the internet and both of her parents work during the day when she's asleep.
