JOHNSON COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A man police call a person of interest in the disappearance of his parents is in jail.

Larry and Sandra Blanton have been missing from Johnson County for several weeks. In past interviews, Willie Blanton has told us he does not know where his parents are.

According to Johnson County Sheriff Dwayne Price, Blanton told several stories including that his parents went to Florida and that they've gone camping.

Blanton is now behind bars. Investigators say he tried to fill his parents' prescriptions at a local pharmacy.

Blanton's girlfriend, Amanda Fanin, has also been named a person of interest. She was recently arrested on drug charges.

They are both being held in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
