Missing elderly woman found safe

CORBIN, Ky. (WKYT) - Police say an elderly woman in southern Kentucky who had been missing for several hours has been found safe.

Corbin police tell WKYT Lena Jones, 86, was spotted sitting on someone's front porch in town.

Police began looking for Jones around 6:30 Monday night, after she said she was going to American Greetings.

Jones' son says she has dementia. Her family says she use to work there, but it's no longer open.
