Gotta love these weekends that we have been given. Unfortunately our very nice weather will change for the next couple of days. Rain looks to be on the increase today as we are looking a numerous showers throughout the day. Not expecting any strong to severe storms during the afternoon as highs remain in the lower 70's. The rain looks to stay put tonight with scattered showers and lows around 61. The system that is bringing us rain will work through by Tuesday morning with a wet start during that time frame. By afternoon only a few lingering showers will be expected for the east. Rainfall totals the next couple of days are projected to be around an inch-possibly 4'' for our region. The best chance of rain to see that 3"-4" range will be west of Lexington. By Tuesday afternoon most of the rain moves eastbound and we will be left with a chilly afternoon with highs in the upper 60's. Winds from the north will bring cooler air along with it, which will allow for us to have a chilly Wednesday with sunny skies as highs settle in the lower to mid 60's. Dry weather stays put through the next several days with highs in the 70's. The only chance of rain is on Saturday as another front moves through, but this one is moisture starved and doesn't look to produce much rain at all.
