Money donated to firefighters

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) -- We have an update for you now on a story we brought you Tuesday on WKYT.

Lexington firefighters asked for help, and help has poured in.

Already, the department has received $500 to pay for new carbon monoxide detectors for their emergency response crews.

Their current 12 are at the end of their two-year life span, and the department doesn't have the money in their budget to replace them.

The $500 donation will pay for at least three new detectors.
