More rain and snow to start the weekend

Posted: Thu 2:09 PM, Dec 27, 2012

We're wrapping up a cloudy and cold day across central and eastern Kentucky. Many thermometers were stuck in the upper 20s and low 30s with a few snow flurries dancing around.

The next system to impact our weather comes late Friday into Saturday. Rain and snow will develop Friday evening from west to east and will change to light snow Friday night and Saturday morning across parts of the region. Some accumulation is likely... especially across the northern half of the state. Snow showers and flurries will then continue through Saturday and early Sunday.

Another storm system threatens to throw some snow our way as we ring in the new year.
