LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) -- Police say they've received more tips as the search for a missing Madison County teenager continues.
Brookelyn Farthing disappeared two weeks ago tomorrow she was last seen in the Berea area.
State police asked property owners in Madison, Jackson, Estill, and Rockcastle counties to look for unusual things such as strange smells or freshly dug earth.
Friday police say they received a tip about a suspicious smell on a property in Madison County.
They plan to check it out hoping it reveals new clues.
"It's a difficult case. Everybody wants Brookelyn found, you know, we're still hoping she's out there. You know, it is a missing persons investigation," said Trooper Paul Blanton.
State police say this case has kept them busy with every detective at the Richmond post checking out possible leads and tips.
