MOREHEAD, Ky. (AP) - Morehead State has hired Greg Todd as its women's basketball coach.
Todd comes to the Eagles after going 157-64 in eight years at Transylvania University, including 26-3 last season to set a school record for winning percentage. The Pioneers also made their NCAA Division III tournament appearance under Todd and reached the second round along with earning their first Top 25 ranking.
The Berea, Ky., native is 548-144 in 22 seasons as a high school and college coach. He replaces Tom Hodges, who was fired last month after going 51-68 in four seasons including 30-58 the past three.
In seven years as girls' coach at Lexington Catholic High School, Todd won 90 percent of his games and three state titles. He previously led Berea High School to seven 20-win seasons.
