Heather Kaminsky being returned to Laurel County by Laurel County Sheriff’s Detective Charlie Loomis.

Heather Kaminsky had an early morning appointment with a Laurel County judge, just hours after police brought her back to Kentucky from Florida, where US Marshals finally found her…two weeks after police accused her of human trafficking for selling her baby for a truck.

Police say the truck was later sold for $800 and meth.

“They need to investigate and stop doing hearsay. And that’s all it is. Someone called them and they got a tip on this and that. And that’s what they believe,” Kaminsky told 27 NEWSFIRST from inside the Laurel County jail Friday morning.

Kaminsky claims she never sold her baby to Jeremy and Jaimee Brown of Corbin. She said Jeremy Brown is the legitimate father of the child, although she admits she is the child's biological mother.

“You guys see a birth certificate? Jeremy Brown is on it. So how can I sell a baby when he is on the birth certificate?” she questioned.

Police are standing by their charges. They believe they had probable cause to arrest her.

Police have also said that Florida social services had taken children away from Kaminsky before..and that she’s been in trouble for meth. . She said of that is false.

“I never been in jail for drugs or meth. I never fled any state for anything,” she said.

The judge set her bond at $50,000 cash. She’ll be back in court on July 31 for a preliminary hearing.
