(Taylor County, Ky.) WKYT - In a cornfield in rural Taylor County, answers to a missing man mystery were found in October 2010. Yet the finding of 29 year old Adam Hogan's body...only presented more questions for his mother.
"You never get over it. There is not a day that I don't think of Adam and I break down several times a week," she said.
Hogan was found more than a month after he disappeared from his Taylor County home, and his mother believes as many as three may have taken him and killed him.
"I went into the house. All Adam's clothes were on the floor. With his wallet in it. All his shoes were there. I just had a sick feeling that I would never see my son again," she said.
A detective at the Taylor County sheriff's office says that there are still many unanswered questions about what they are still calling a death investigation. He said that the medical examiner doesn't even know if it was murder, based on the bones found in that cornfield.
"Adam would not have gotten there by himself. He didn't even have his shoes on," she said.
Hogan believes her son started hanging around with the wrong crowd and she believes she knows who is responsible but police say they don't have that kind of evidence.
"My son was doing well. He met the wrong people at the wrong time," she said.
Police say they do have some new technology that could provide some more answers.
