A line of strong to severe storms will race across central and eastern Kentucky over the next several hours.
We are getting pretty late in the year to be talking this kind of cold, but we didn't reach a record this morning with lows in the single digits. On the flip side it is still chilly with highs rising to the 30° mark this afternoon under mostly sunny skies. That sunshine will be our friend today as it tries to melt a lot of the snow.
The next several days show tremendous improvements each and every day. Highs on Wednesday and Thursday will be in the 40s under a mix of sun and clouds. The only chance I see of us getting in on a little action would be on Thursday, but even that is a small chance. Come Friday and Saturday temperatures will just continue to rise with highs in the 50s with dry conditions. There's a weak disturbance that will head our way come Sunday, but even that doesn't look impressive. Overall, look for our rain/snow chances to decrease with temperatures increasing the next several days!
