Mudslide causes problems in Rowan County

ROWAN CO., Ky. (WKYT) - This week's winter storm brought heavy rain to much of the Bluegrass, causing a mudslide in Rowan County.

Leaders with the State Department of Highways says mud slid onto Highway 801, near Cave Run lake Wednesday morning. The road was closed for hours while officials set up a detour.

The Department of Highways says the mud has since been cleared and the road reopened.
