Multiple people injured after crash in Whitley County

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. (WKYT) - Three people are in the hospital following a two-car crash near Williamsburg Tuesday morning.

It happened around 10 a.m. near the IGA grocery store at the intersection of Cumberland Avenue and Highway 25W.

The Williamsburg Police Chief tells us two people were flown to the hospital in critical condition and one was transported by ambulance.

Officers say the driver had to be cut out of one of the cars by the Williamsburg Police Department.

There were five people in the other car, including a child. The child and driver were treated at the scene.
