LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Police are hoping someone will be able to identify two people who robbed a Lexington gas station. And they have some good clues that could help.
It happened just after 10:00 p.m. Sunday night at the Shell station on New Circle at Russell Cave Road. Police say the two men had their faces covered with masks when one of them pulled out a knife and demanded cash from the clerk.
No one was hurt during the robbery. The clerk said the men stole about $300 and cigarettes.
Police do have a good description of the suspects. One of them was wearing a maroon varsity letter jacket with the name Cody on it. The other was wearing a camouflaged Adidas hoodie. Surveillance video shows the men leaving in a badly damaged red Jeep Cherokee.
