GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WKYT) - Broken piles of glass are what some people are waking up to in Georgetown Thursday morning. Police say that several people and businesses were affected overnight, and they've already made an arrest in the case.

Georgetown Police arrested 22-year-old John Burns and charged him with first degree wanton endangerment for his role in the vandalism.

Investigators tell us they believe Burns and two other men used a BB gun to shoot out windows in at least 19 vehicles and 4 businesses Wednesday night.

Police caught up with Burns on Cumberland Drive, where there were also more reports of shot out windows.
Burns admitted to police that he played a role in shooting out the front windows of the Save-A-Lot on Broadway Monday as well.
That left the store manager and employees to clean up the mess twice in one week, after they were hit again last night.

"I had to get my husband to stay in last night with it, overnight for security. And it's going to run into a lot of money. It's just too much idleness. It's mean-ness, evil," said Karen Brooks, the manager of the Georgetown Save-A-Lot.

Several of the people affected by this told us that they're going to be on the phone with their insurance companies to try to get the damaged assessed, one more headache to deal with, as they start their day.
