General showers will be the main action over the next few hours. A few could remain on the strong to severe side in eastern parts of Kentucky.
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Lexington fire investigators say a neighbor's heroic actions may have saved lives Saturday morning.
An off-duty firefighter who lives near the home on Katie Court saw smoke pouring from the house. He rushed into the home and pulled two people outside.
They've been taken to the hospital to be treated for burns and smoke inhalation. Their insurance agent says one woman has second-degree burns on her hands.
We’re told before the off-duty firefighter got involved, the two people got out of the house. Fire officials say they may have gone back inside for a dog. We’re told the dog made it out as well.
