LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A Lexington neighborhood has noticed many bus stops in the city that are without shelter. Now, they're trying to do something about it.

The people of the Columbia Heights Neighborhood Association want to move a bus stop to make room for one with a roof.

The "bank stop" will sit in front of Republic Bank on Euclid Avenue.

Some creative designs like a piggy bank cutout and hand rails fabricated like metal coins will be featured at the stop.

The neighborhood association has raised $15,000 so far. That's $10,000 short of their goal.

If you would like to donate, visit www.kickstarter.com, and type "bankstop" in the text box at the top.
