KNOX COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Kentucky State Police have released new information about a deadly shooting in Knox County.
Investigators say the shooting happened late Thursday night at the home of Jessie and Angela Jaynes on Bailey Branch road in the Walker community, near Barbourville.
KSP tell us Jessie Jaynes and James Cox were involved in a fight when Cox was shot. The Knox County Coroner pronounced Cox dead at the scene, his body has now been sent to Frankfort for an autopsy.
So far, no charges have been filed. State police continue to investigate the deadly shooting.
