Finally it's Friday and looks to be a nice finish to the work week. More sunshine expected again today as highs finish off in the upper 30s to lower 40s.
The daylight hours look dry, but come the evening and overnight a mix of sleet/snow kicks in. There is a chance of a slushy coating for areas north of I-64 through the night and into Saturday morning. That's where travel could have some issues. It then turns to all cold rain through the day. Heading into Saturday night and Sunday the rain turns back to snow with scattered snow showers expected through the days Sunday. Light accumulation could be expected with this round as well. This is not a major system and we don't expect major impacts.
Going into next week our temperatures will be on the rise. Heading into midweek 40s start showing up in the forecast, but you know as well as I do that doesn't last for long. But hey, we will take a warmup when we can get one.
