Rounds of showers and thunderstorms could cause issues across the region Saturday. Damaging winds, large hail and a few tornadoes will be possible.
Big Blue fans could not ask for better weather for the opening game at Commonwealth Stadium. From lots of sunshine, to nice temperatures, today will be perfect for tailgating or just getting out and about around town.
This afternoon, temperatures will start off on the mild side, in the low to mid 70s, with no chance for storms or showers. Things will get a little toasty by the end of the game, with highs reaching into the mid 80s. That’s just a few degrees more than the average for this time of year.
The high pressure system responsible for all this nice weather will scoot out of the area over the next few days, as a cold front heads our way from the west. As it approaches, the threat for showers and storms will increase toward the end of the weekend.
There’s a slight chance for some isolated showers late Sunday afternoon and evening. The same stormy trend will likely carry us through a majority of the week, with highs sticking around the mid 80s.
