The Nicholasville Police department worked close to 20 traffic collisions on US 27 in Jessamine County Friday morning. Police say road conditions were extremely hazardous. Police say one of the most dangerous areas was US 27 at Catnip Hill.

By 2:00pm Friday Nicholasville Police reported traffic had started to resume to normal activity. State road crews applied salt to the road, helping to melt most of the ice.

Police are still reminding drivers to use caution as the roads appear to just be wet but in fact are still ice covered in some areas.
