LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A power outage Thursday morning at Lexington's Blue Grass Airport didn't disrupt air travel but it did cause some issues in the terminal.
The power went out just before 10 a.m., a spokesperson for Kentucky Utilities tells us someone on the airport grounds hit a transformer with their car.
That disrupted power to the main terminal, but airport officials say their backup generator kicked in within minutes and kept power running to airline ticketing counters and TSA checkpoints.
Air conditioning was knocked out so it's slightly warmer than usual inside.
Officials with Blue Grass airport tell us runway lighting and tower operations kept going as normal and there were no flight delays due to the outage.
The power was restored around 12:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
