No injuries in northern Kentucky plant explosion

FLORENCE, Ky. (AP) - Officials with the Florence Fire Department say an explosion at a northern Kentucky plant scattered debris but caused no serious injuries.

The Kentucky Enquirer reported the blast occurred Wednesday morning at Givaudan Flavors Corp. in Boone County. The Florence Fire Department reported that the explosion occurred as a truck was offloading product into a storage silo on the side of the facility.

All plant personnel have been accounted for, and there were no injuries to plant workers or firefighters.

Givaudan Flavors, which has its headquarters in Switzerland, makes fragrance and flavor products.
