Non-registered KSU students removed from residence halls

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WKYT) - Students at Kentucky State University in Frankfort living in a residence hall without registering for Spring classes have been notified of their release from the official residence hall list.

Non-registered students are asked to contact hall managers and schedule a check out time. Building and meal plans will remain in effect until January 31st. Hall managers will help students who aren't able to move out by the deadline.

Last week, Kentucky State University President Mary Sias said she stands behind her decision to drop 202 students due to nonpayment. She said 925 students owed money on January 14th when 813 students were first dropped from courses.

Most of those students were reinstated after paying their balances or making payments.

Sias says many of those not reinstated by the school owed large sums of money and had poor grades.
