LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) -- Some nurses came to the rescue after a medical emergency possibly led to a crash that closed part of a busy Lexington road.

Witnesses tell us a man was seen slumped over the wheel, before he and his car shot across versailles road, and then hit a tree.

We're told nurses, who saw the accident, rushed to the man's help, and didn't feel a pulse.

That's when they performed CPR until ambulances arrived, and possibly saved the man's life.

He was last listed at UK hospital in serious condition.
