LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - OSHA has opened an investigation is underway at a dorm construction site on the University of Kentucky campus, after a man was critically injured Wednesday by falling plywood.
The accident happened at the site of the new Haggin Hall dormitory. Investigators say a wind gust caught a piece of plywood and dropped it down six floors hitting a construction worker.
Messer construction says they are not releasing that worker's name, but WKYT has learned he is still at UK hospital. There is no word on how he is doing at this time.
OSHA did clear Messer construction to resume work on the site Thursday.
