BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky State Police are investigating a shooting that involved an off-duty Warren County sheriff's deputy.

Media reported the shooting took place on Tuesday afternoon in the parking lot of a Bowling Green business.

Kentucky State Police Trooper Jonathan Biven identified the deputy as Thomas Brown and the person shot as 27-year-old Brandon Bradshaw of Bowling Green.

A witness said Brown was showing his badge when the shooting took place. Police said the deputy has been placed on administrative leave while the shooting is investigated.

Bradshaw is a former Warren County constable who currently is employed as a youth theater educator.

Police say Bradshaw is being treated for gunshot wounds. Brown wasn't injured.
