Officer involved shooting in Hardin County

Early Saturday morning KSP Trooper responded to the 6000 block of S. Wilson Road in Hardin County to investigate a complaint of a burglary in progress.

Upon the Trooper’s arrival he observed two males coming out of the woods next to the residence as they started to get into a black Chevrolet pickup. The Trooper told one suspect to show his hands and he refused.

The suspect approached the Trooper and refused to comply with the Trooper’s orders. The suspect then rummaged through the back of the pickup truck, showed a weapon and turned towards the Trooper. The Trooper fired one shot and struck the suspect in the neck.

The suspect was taken from the scene and later to the University of Louisville Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

The suspect has been identified as 25-year-old Grayson County resident, Joshua S. Blough of Big Clifty.

The other suspect is in police custody and is being questioned. This investigation is ongoing.
