Officials report 911 out of service in parts of Anderson, Shelby and Spencer Counties

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Feb 23) - 911 services were out for hours in several Kentucky Counties on Sunday.

Kentucky Emergency Management was notified Sunday morning by the Mt. Eden Fire Chief of a fire that caused damage to local phone lines.

The fire resulted in the loss of 911 services in parts of Anderson, Shelby, and Spencer Counties.

Cell services was not affected and services were restored by Sunday afternoon.

However some land lines were still out as of Sunday evening in the area and officials say they will likely not be restored until Monday.
