Officials: Russell county water levels normal

RUSSELL CO. Ky, (WKYT) - Officials in Russell county say there is no change in the lake level in Lake Cumberland.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced Wednesday it would not be increasing water levels this year because new populations of an endangered fish, the Duskytail Darter.

Russell county officials said Thursday lake levels are at "normal" winter levels, since the level was raised back to 705 feet back in the Spring.
