Officials seek person who started Knox County fire

CORBIN, Ky. (AP) - Officials in southern Kentucky are seeking the person who started a brushfire that burned three acres before being contained.

Woodbine Fire Chief Rick Fore told The Times-Tribune that witnesses saw a black truck near where the blaze started on Paint Hill west of Barbourville.

Fore says the witnesses saw someone in the area just before the fire started, but couldn't see how many people were in the vehicle. No structures were damaged by the fire.

Anyone with any information is asked to either call the arson hotline number at 1-800-27-ARSON, or call the forestry service at 1-800-866-0504.
