LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - One person died after an early-morning stabbing.
It happened just after 1:00 Thursday morning at an apartment in the 500 block of Newtown Pike, across from Eastern State Hospital.
Lexington police say when they arrived, two people were inside the apartment, one of them with multiple stab wounds.
That person was taken to UK Hospital where police say he later died. His name has not yet been released.
The other person inside the apartment was also taken to UK Hospital, in handcuffs, with minor injuries. He is in police custody, but has not yet been charged.
Lexington police say their robber and homicide unit continues to investigate the case. WKYT is told they are interviewing the person in custody, and expect charges to be filed soon.
