Magoffin coroner releases name of ATV crash victim

One person was killed and two were injured when they and two others were riding on a single ATV on Sunday afternoon in Salyersville.

MAGOFFIN COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT-TV) --- Officials have released the name of the child who died in Sunday afternoon's ATV crash on Sugar Camp Road in Magoffin County.

Magoffin County Coroner Mark Jenkins says four-year-old Patrick Cleere died after an ATV he was riding on hit an embankment and ejected him from the ATV.

Officials say the ATV was carrying five people and at least three of which were juveniles.

MAGOFFIN COUNTY, Ky. - One person was killed and two were injured when they and two others were riding on a single ATV on Sunday afternoon in Salyersville.

Police said they and rescue officials were called to the scene around four o'clock to find five people in the accident. One person was pronounced dead and two were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The other two people were uninjured.

The names and ages of the people involved have not been released, but officials confirmed that at least three of the people involved were juveniles.

No cause of the accident has been released.
