Scattered storms will develop into the afternoon hours and a few could be strong or severe. High winds and hail will be the main impacts.
Bitterly cold temperatures continue across central and eastern Kentucky through Wednesday. Overnight lows will drop back into the -5 to +5 range for much of the area. Wind chill numbers will make it feel even colder.
A band of light snow is working across southeastern Kentucky and could put down light accumulations this evening.
Thermometers will be in the upper teens for highs Wednesday and then near freezing by Thursday. This is when a messy weather system moves our way by Friday into the weekend. That is likely to produce snow and rain for much of the area.
