LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Two overnight shootings in Lexington sent a man to the hospital and left a business damaged.
Around 3:00 Tuesday morning, police responded to a Shell gas station on Versailles Road for about five or six shots being fired.
Police tell WKYT it all started around 3:00 Tuesday morning when an argument between two groups at Camelot West carried over into the Shell parking lot on Versailles Road.
In the store's surveillance video, two men started fist fighting and that's when another man pulls out a gun and fires about five shots. The crowd scatters and police say no one was hit, but the store was four times.
Police said the suspect left in a tan or gray colored 2007 Chevy Tahoe with dark colored rims and a red interior.
The other shooting happened right down the street on the 1800 block of Oxford Circle. Around 11:00 Monday night, police said two men were walking through a parking lot when a vehicle pulled up, and someone inside began firing.
One man was shot in his foot. Police aren't sure whether he was actually shot by someone else or if he accidentally shot himself. Police said the vehicle involved was either a maroon or red Ford Escort.
Anyone with information about either incident is urged to call police at (859) 258-3600.
