LEXINGTON, KY. (WKYT) - Happy Osborne is leaving Montgomery County High School to become the new head coach at Kentucky Wesleyan. Osborne will be introduced in Owensboro Monday afternoon.
Osborne coached Georgetown College for 15 years, leading the Tigers to seven Final Four appearances and an NAIA title in 1998. He left Georgetown to become associate head coach at Tennessee tech for 2011-2012. Last season Osborne returned to Kentucky as the head coach at Montgomery County. He led the Indians to the semifinlas of the Sweet 16.
At Kentucky Wesleyan Osborne will replace Todd Lee who departed earlier this month to become associate head coach at Grand Canyon University.
