Our focus now turns to the potential of record lows tonight. Many areas may wake up to thermometer readings below zero.
Now that the heaviest snow is out of the way we no focus on this extreme cold that is in place. Heading into the afternoon expect temperatures to slowly rise to the teens and stay there. We will have some sunshine, but even that won't do the trick. We could find a couple flakes flying around as well. Another small snow chance comes tonight and into tomorrow, but not expecting much out of this one.
The cold sticks around for a while with teens through Friday. Friday will also be our driest day out there. Snow returns during the weekend as we could see another good snow out of this one too.
After those weekend systems swing through the extreme, cold air settles back in through most of the week.
