A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is out for for much of northern and eastern Kentucky until 9 p.m. This is just east of the Lexington metro.
If this forecast were a report card it would read "Making Improvements". We are still going to be very cold, but at least we are moving in the right direction. Highs today will be around the 30° mark under a mix of sun & clouds. Only a small chance of a mix heading into Thursday before bringing on our best day of the 7-day, which is Friday. On Friday we expect temperatures to be in the upper 40s to lower 50s and dry.
Take care of things on Friday because heading into the weekend we are seeing some very unsettled weather. This time it will be in the form of rain and not snow.
More good news in our extended forecast is that there is no sign of an Arctic cold blast anytime soon. Enjoy!
