LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - An out-of-state pain clinic owner, who investigators say illegally gave thousands of prescription pills to Kentuckians, will have to spend 15 years in prison.
A federal judge in Lexington sentenced 46-year-old Michael Leman today.
A jury convicted him of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances and money laundering.
Court records claim 90 percent of patients who went to his clinics in Ohio and Pennsylvania were from Eastern Kentucky.
Investigators say Leman had his employees recruit Kentuckians to visit his clinics for prescription drugs.
