Severe thunderstorms have developed across parts of Central Kentucky. Expect more of these to develop through the evening hours.
ESTILL COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Some early morning fires have damaged several buildings in Estill County.
WKYT was the first to arrive to the scene on Wagersville Road in Estill County. Four buildings were destroyed.
At least three fire departments were called in to assist the Estill County Fire Department.
Investigators say they found several items near the destroyed buildings that make them suspicious that the fires may have been set intentionally.
"We just found some evidence that was kind of suspicious looking. And we're going to go ahead and notify, actually we already have notified the detectives to get out here and look at it a little closer," said Estill County Fire Chief Derrick Muncie.
The property owner also told us kerosene was poured inside one of the buildings, but had not been ignited.
Muncie says a Kentucky State Police arson investigator will look into the case later today.
