JESSAMINE COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT)- Two people wanted in connection to a burglary at a Jessamine County convenience mart are now in police custody.
Police in Owsley County picked up Katherine Hernandez and Deron Ratliff around 9:45 Friday morning. The two were wanted in connection to a break in at the E-Z Mart on Ashgrove Road in Jessamine County, back on July 4th.
The Owsley County Sheriff says he saw the report on the news that police in Jessamine County were looking for Hernandez and Ratliff. He says he began getting tips from people that the pair was at a home on Meyers Road, known locally as Fox Hunter's Knob.
The sheriff, two deputies and a city officer went out and watched the home. When the sheriff knocked on the door, he says Ratliff stuck his head in the window. Ratliff was ordered to come out, and did without incident. Hernandez also surrendered.
The pair is going to be lodged in the Three Forks Regional Jail, before likely being taken back to Jessamine County.
