Parents cited after police find children living in unsafe home

RICHMOND, Ky. (WKYT) - Police cite two parents after finding six children living in what they call a dirty and unsafe house.

Richmond Police say they found spilled food, garbage and broken furniture inside the home on Windsor Drive Saturday.

We're told the home didn't have enough beds or food for the children, ranging in age from 4 years old to 14.

Officers cited John and Amy Barnes for wanton endangerment and endangering the welfare of a minor.

We tried to talk to them tonight, but they did not want to go on camera.

The children are now living with relatives.
