Western Kentucky Parole violator uses taser on arresting officer to escape

MAYFIELD, KY (WKYT) - Kentucky state Police are investigating the escape of a Mayfield man they say was on home incarceration.

Just before 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Troopers say they were notified that Joshua Fox of Mayfield had assaulted a parole officer and a Mayfield police officer who were trying to take him into custody.

They say Fox became combative when officers informed him he had violated parole and were taking him into custody.

During the altercation, investigators say Fox took one of the officer's tasers and used it on the officer, enabling him to flee.

Authorities searched for Fox for hours but were unable to find him.

Joshua Fox is described as a black male weighing 250 lbs, standing 5’10”.

KSP says he was last seen wearing a black tank top and black shorts.

Anyone with information regarding the location of Joshua Fox is asked to dial 911 or contact the Kentucky State Police at 270-856-3721.
